Job description

The What’s Up! Content Development team is currently looking for a new writer and creator of didactic content to work in our central offices. What's Up! Living English, is a company that specializes in teaching English as a second language with centres across Spain. We have our own unique methodology based around learning through conversation and creating a fun, English-only social environment in our centres.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating exciting teaching material in accordance to the What’s Up! standards and philosophy.
  • Participating in content review process and giving constructive feedback.
  • Observing classes to ensure the quality of the material.
  • On-going improvement of existing material.
  • Taking part in multimedia material creation and implementation.

Requirements

Skills and experience:

  • C2 Proficiency level or Native English speaker preferred.
  • Outstanding writing, proofreading and editorial skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience creating didactic content for teaching English as a Second Language essential.
  • Creativity and a drive to achieve the highest possible standards.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • University degree or higher education qualification in the areas of English Langauge, Linguistics, Educations or similar required.
  • Master's or postgraduate qualifications in Linguistics, Pedagogy, Education, Publishing or similar highly valued.
  • Minimum B2 level of Spanish favoured.
  • Experience of language assessment or course design preferred.
  • Knowledge of photoshop and graphic design experience a plus.
